Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for the 2023 U18 State Teams.

These trials will be used to select two (2) teams per gender to compete at the U18 Australian Championships to be held in Hobart, TAS from 1-9 July.

To be eligible to nominate for U18 State selection a player must be born after 01/01/2005.

Given the expected high volume of nominations, athletes will be split into two groups for Trial 1 and will attend one of Saturday or Sunday. Group and trial allocations will be communicated after nominations close.

Following Trial 1, numbers will be reduced and attendance to Trial 2 is by selection only. Selected athletes for Trial 2 will be required to attend both Monday and Wednesday's trials. Athletes will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website.

Goalkeepers may be required to attend separate trial sessions due to the expected high volume of goalkeeper nominations.

Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.

Nominations close 11.59pm on Monday 24 April.
