Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for the 2024 U21 State Teams.

These trials will be used to select one (1) team per gender to compete at the U21 National Championships to be held in Newcastle, NSW from 13-20 March 2024.

To be eligible to nominate for U21 State selection a player must be born after 01/01/2003.

Please note:

• All athletes who nominate for the U21 State Team Trials will be provided with a physical conditioning program (link) in preparation for the first trials in December. Athletes will be subject to fitness testing at the trials.
• All athletes who nominate are required to attend both Trial 1 and Trial 2, with an updated squad to be invited to Trial 3 and Trial 4 in January. Following these trials, an extended training squad will be announced, with the final team to be announced no later than Wednesday 31 January 2024.
• Athletes will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website. Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.
• All trials will be filmed for selection purposes.
