Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for the 2024 U16 State Teams.

These trials will be used to select two (2) teams per gender to compete at the U16 Australian Championships to be held in Hobart, Tasmania from Thursday 4th April to Thursday 11th April 2024. 

To be eligible to nominate for U16 State selection a player must be born after 01/01/2008.

Trial dates, time and venue can be found below.

Please note: for Trials 1 and 2 each gender group will be split into two separate 1.5 hour blocks. Athletes will be required to attend both days.

These trials are designed to minimise the travel time for country athletes travelling to Perth. HockeyWA is aware that some athletes will be flying back to Perth following the Indoor National Championships on Thursday 25th January.

Following Trial 2, numbers will be reduced and attendance to Trial 3 is by selection only. Athletes will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website.

Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.

Nominations close 11.59pm on Sunday 21st January 2024.
