Technical Officials (TO) are integral to the management and coordination of hockey. The role of a TO can vary all the way from being a judge for a game through to a tournament director.

Regardless of the role, TOs are vital to hockey's functioning.

Well now you can by registering to take part in Hockey WA’s Technical Official Course for new officials or those wishing to refresh their skills.

The Technical Officials Workshop is designed to train officials in the fundamental concepts of judging hockey games, advanced concepts of technical officiating, as well as how their role functions within a tournament setting and covering the role of tournament directing and higher level officiating duties.

Participants may have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Technical Officiating at the upcoming KSMB Youth International Gryphon Cup, scheduled from Thursday, November 21, 2024, to Sunday, November 24, 2024.

The Technical Officials Workshop will run for a total duration of approx. 2.5 hours, with full details below:

Presented by Tammy Standley, FIH Technical Official and three-time Olympic Games official, who most recently served at the 2024 Olympic Hockey competition.
