Hockey WA is thrilled to announce an U25 Men's and Women's Invitational International Tour to Bangalore, India from January 12 to January 22, 2025. This tour has been organised in collaboration with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), following successful previous tours to Perth. As part of our Asian engagement strategy and a new Memorandum of Association with Hockey India, we have received an invitation to train and compete alongside members of their National Centres of Excellence.

Tour Details

• Duration: 10 days in Bangalore
• Activities:
  • Multiple matches
  • Training Sessions with the NCOE athletes
  • Video analysis sessions
  • Cultural tours

Costs

• The Sports Authority of India (SAI) will pay most expenses incurred while in India, including food and accommodation.
• Off-field staff are expected to pay for food and travel essentials during the tour. 
• Uniforms may incur a cost associated with the tour.

 The off-field support team will comprise a Head Coach and an Assistant Coach/Team Manager.

Selection Criteria- Off Field Team

• Possess a National Accreditation higher or equivalent to Development Lead Course
• Coach at the Under 21 State Team level or higher for Western Australian team in recent years
• Coach a Premier League side in recent years
• Hockey WA will select coaches  that possess experience or competency coaching against international teams.
• Final OFT selection is at the discretion of the Performance staff at Hockey WA, WAIS and Hockey Australia Technical leads

• Team Confirmation: By COB on Thursday , November 21, 2024

Note: There will be no trials; selection is based on past National Age performances.

Travel Requirements

A valid Australian passport with at least six months validity is mandatory for international travel during the tour dates.
