Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for the 2025 State Under 21 Mens and Womens Teams.

The trials will be used to select one (1) team per gender to compete at the Hockey Austraia Under 21 National Championships to be held in Bendigo, Victoria from 3 to 10 May 2025.

The two WA State teams will depart Perth on the morning of Thursday 1 May 2025 and return to Perth late on Saturday 10 May 2025. 

The cost per player for the 10 days and 9 nights will be in excess of $4,000 which will include flights to and from Melbourne, accommodation, transportation and meals. 

To be eligible to nominate for 2025 State Under 21 team selection a player must be born after 1 January 2004.

Please note:

• All athletes who nominate for the 2025 State Under 21  Teams trials will be provided with a physical conditioning program (link) in preparation for the first trials in February 2025. Athletes will be subject to fitness testing at the trials.
• All athletes who nominate are required to attend both Trial 1 and Trial 2, with an updated squad to be invited to Trial 3 on 10 February 2025.  Following these trials, an extended training squad will be announced, with the final team to be announced no later than Wednesday 5 March  2025. 
• Athletes will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website. Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.
• All trials will be filmed for selection purposes.
