2025 State Under 18 State Teams Trial Nominations

Hockey WA are now taking nominations for players wishing to be considered for selection in the 2025 State Under 18 Mens and Womens Teams.
The selection trials will be used to select two (2) teams per gender to compete at the Under 18 Australian Championships to be held in Perth from 4 to 12 July 2025.
To be eligible to nominate for selection in the 2025 State Under 18 mens and womens teams a player must be born after 1 January 2007.

Given the expected high volume of nominations, players will be split into two groups for Trial 1. Players will be required to attend both Saturday 26th April 2025 and Sunday 27th April 2025. Group and trial allocations will be communicated after nominations close.
Following Trial 1, numbers will be reduced and attendance to Trial 2 is by invitation only. Selected players for Trial 2 will be required to attend both Saturday 3 May 2025 and Sunday 4 May 2025 for the trials. Players will be notified of their progression via the Hockey WA website.
Goalkeepers may be required to attend separate trial sessions due to the expected high volume of goalkeeper nominations.
Players are expected to attend all subsequent trials and training sessions should they be successful in progressing through the selection process.

Notes:
2024 State Under 18 Team players will be exempt from the 1st round of trials on Saturday 26th April 2025 and Sunday 27th April 2025. These players will still be required to complete a nomination.
All other player exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis for Trials 1 and 2. If any other players wish to request an exemption for any trial date listed, please contact

Preparation Program
The team selection will be announced on Tuesday 13 May 2025.
The team training commencement date is to be advised and the preparation program will run through May and June 2025 to 2 July 2025.
Tournament
While it is a Perth tournament, the players will be expected to stay in team accommodation for the duration of the tournament.
