The 2025 Australian Country Championships will be held in Rockhampton, Queensland from 9 to 16 August 2025 as the best regional hockey talent assembles for a week of competition.

Nominations are now open for players to be considered for the 2025 WA State Country Men's and Women's Teams.

The player eligibility is subject to the Hockey Australia Rules and Regulations and will be at the final discretion of the Hockey WA staff.

Selection Trials  

The 2025 Hockey WA CBH State Country Championships at the Perth Hockey Stadium will be the selection events for these teams.

Women - Friday 13 June 2025 to Sunday 15 June 2025.

Men -       Friday 20 June 2025 to Sunday 22 June 2025.

Additional trials may be held after the initial squads are named. 

Players unable to attend the selection events through injury or other valid reason that want to be considered for selection are still encouraged to nominate however they will need to provide proof of the reason and make a case for exemption. All such cases are to be made to:

Travel Details to Rockhampton

The teams depart on Wednesday 6 August 2025 and return late on Sunday 17 August 2025.

Accommodation is booked at a central Apartment Hotel in Rockhampton.

Subject to the amount of fundraising and sponsorship, the cost of the 12 day/11 night tour to regional Queensland will be in the vicinity of $3,000 to $4,500.
