Hockey WA Achieves Silver in Pride in Sport Index

Hockey WA is proud to announce that it has once again achieved Silver Level certification in the Pride in Sport Index, a testament to the organisation’s continued commitment to LGBTQI+ inclusion in sport.

The Pride in Sport Index is Australia’s only benchmarking tool specifically designed to assess the inclusion of people with diverse sexualities and genders within sporting organisations and codes. This national framework recognises the efforts of sports bodies working to create safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments.

This year’s Silver Level certification reaffirms Hockey WA’s dedication to making hockey in Western Australia a sport for everyone, regardless of background or identity. It also maintains our upward trajectory in inclusive practices, following our Bronze Level recognition in 2023 and Silver in 2024.

Hockey WA remains committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the game, both on and off the field.
