Hockey WA COVID-19 Club and Region Guidance I 2 July 2021

Published Fri 02 Jul 2021

Hockey WA advises travelling participants from outside Perth and Peel, coming to the region for involvement in community hockey matches and training sessions, must abide by the region’s COVID-19 post-lockdown interim restrictions in place until 12.01am 6 July.

This advice follows Hockey WA’s recent announcement around the resumption of hockey activities earlier today.

Travelling participants coming to the region take the Perth and Peel rules with them - they can attend matches and training sessions, play outdoors and umpire, however they must wear a mask except when doing vigorous exercise. Spectators, however, are not permitted.

Travelling participants must also observe the rule of not attending hospitality venues except for take away.

Please note clubs take responsibility to ensure players do not loiter post game – participants are requested to play and leave as soon as possible. Hockey WA Ground Controllers will be advised to make sure this message gets through.

The latest information is available on the Western Australian Government website - www.wa.gov.au

The health and safety of the community remains Hockey WA’s number one priority.

Hockey WA appreciates the hockey community’s understanding and patience with scheduling and announcements in this dynamic environment. Further updates, if required, will be made available on Hockey WA’s website –www.hockeywa.org.au
