Hockey WA is searching for a Communications Assistant – Casual to work with the Communications, Media and Marketing side of the organisation.
The successful applicant will have skills and interest across a range of areas related to:
- Written content, interviewing hockey players and officials and producing timely, accurate and engaging content for Hockey WA’s website
- Social-media content, capturing footage and interviews on a range of devices for Hockey WA’s owned and earned channels
- Media assistance, working with local outlets to assist with capturing interviews and information
The role will see the successful applicant working with our broadcast production partners, on major media photo shoots, at hockey events and in the office.
We’re essentially looking for a dedicated, diligent, presentable and professional person to assist us with capturing hearts, minds and eyeballs… and serving our members and our sport better than ever before.
The position will require weekend work, particularly around our major events including the Perth Thundersticks’ upcoming season, and the Hockey WA Grand Final.
At this stage the Communications Assistant role is casual, however opportunities like this have led to full-time roles for our current team.
Interested? Shoot Nicholas Janzen – our GM Commercial, Media and Marketing – your CV and a one-page letter about your background and interest in the role. We are keen to fill this opportunity ASAP so don’t delay! Email your details to nicholas.janzen@hockeywa.org.au
