Published Sat 18 Jun 2022

The 2022 CBH Group Women’s Country Championships has culminated into a bumper final day of hockey action with titles and bragging rights on the line.

In Division 1, Lower Great Southern are looking to go back-to-back after reaching the Grand Final but will face a tough challenge in Bunbury, who sit in first on the standings.

Bunbury have won three and drawn one match in 2022 and defeated Lower Great Southern 2-1 when the sides faced off earlier in the piece.

In Division 2, It’s Central Great Southern who will compete against Roe Districts in the Grand Final, with both sides sitting on equal-first in the standings.

Collie and the Pilbara Krocs look set to go head-to-head in Division 3 but matches remain and a win to Central Wheatbelt Ladies over Collie could see the side reach the Grand Final.

Avon and Busselton will face off in the Division 4 Grand Final. Avon claimed a 2-0 victory over Upper Great Southern to reach the big dance while Busselton has gone through after a 3-1 win over CMCHA.

Lower Great Southern’s second side will look to bolster the region’s chances at a title win in Division 5, facing off against Ongerup in the Grand Final.

In the Masters Divisions, Eastern Districts and Upper Great Southern look likely to head to the Grand Final for Division 1 on current form, while in Division 2, it’s Eastern Goldfields and Esperance who have been the dominant forces thus far.
