2024 CBH Group Women's Country Championships Wrap

Published Mon 17 Jun 2024

Bunbury & Districts Hockey Association pulled off a perfect tournament run to come out as the 2024 CBH Group Women’s Country Champions.

The 2024 CBH Group Women’s Country Championships took over Perth Hockey Stadium and Fletcher Park from Friday 14 June to Sunday 16 June, providing plenty of excitement across the grounds.

Across the five Open Divisions and two Masters divisions, there were numerous close contests amongst the Grand Finals, with a lot of the Championships decided by a single goal.

After pulling off wins over Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association, defending champions Geraldton, Lower Great Southern Hockey Association, and Upper Great Southern Hockey Association in the pool stage, Bunbury found themselves in pole position going into the Grand Final for Division 1.

An intense grand final between Bunbury and Upper Great Southern saw Bunbury triumph 1-0 to claim the championship.

Busselton Hockey Association claimed the Division 2 Championship after avenging their pool stage loss to Pilbara Krocs, defeating them 1-0 in the Grand Final.

Esperance Hockey Association won the Division 3 Championship after defeating East Avon Women’s Hockey Association 3-0 in the Grand Final.

Both Esperance and EAWHA won their respective Pools and produced convincing wins in the lead-up to the Grand Final.

The Division 4 Championship was won by Central Midlands Hockey Association, who defeated Busselton 1-0 in the Grand Final.

East Avon Women’s Hockey Association defeated Lower Great Southern Hockey Association to 2-1 to claim the Division 5 Championship.

Upper Great Southern Hockey Association won the Masters Division 1 Championship, defeating Bunbury 1-0 in the Grand Final, and Lower Great Southern Hockey Association defeated Eastern Goldfields Hockey Association 4-0 to win the Masters Division 2 Championship.
