Australia’s best hockey athletes will hit the screen on Live Hockey across this year’s Premier League season, with the league’s broadcast schedule locked and loaded for 2023.

This year, broadcasts of the Premier League will hit stadiums across the Perth metropolitan area, with club land set to be the beneficiary.

Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, Lemnos Field, Aquinas Turf, Bateau Turf Lakelands, Warwick Hockey Centre and University of WA Superturfs will all receive significant exposure, with matches to be broadcast from each venue.

Broadcasts from multiple venues in 2023 will see increased exposure for clubs, with previous season broadcasts based only at Perth Hockey Stadium.

“We are really excited to have broadcasts travel across Perth in 2023 and give exposure to our clubs, players, members and venues,” Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said.

“It shapes to be a really pleasing outcome for our clubs to host these significant matches, and ultimately will provide more screen time for teams not based at Perth Hockey Stadium.

“Club land is where our sport thrives, and we are thrilled to be able to provide clubs with the opportunity to hold these broadcasts and create a more balanced broadcast schedule.

“Thanks also goes to our broadcast partner, Local Media Services Company (LMSC), who have been crucial in making this come to fruition.”

Lemnos Field will be the first alternate venue in 2023 to hold a broadcast, with the men’s and women’s Westside Wolves sides clashing with North Coast Raiders and Melville in a primetime slot on Friday 28 April.

All Premier League broadcasts will be streamed live and free on Live Hockey.
