Bunbury claim CBH Group Men's Country Championships Division One title

The 2022 CBH Group Men's Country Championships has finished after an action-packed three days of hockey at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, with Bunbury claiming the top title in a stacked Division One pool.

Bunbury defeated Lower Great Southern 2-0 in the Division One Grand Final, completing a dominant tournament run, with five wins from five matches.

The powerhouse Bunbury side finished with a goal difference of 12, only conceding the four goals across the competition, with 5-0 and 6-2 drubbings over Lower Great Southern and Geraldton respectively in the pool matches a highlight for the region.

Avon claimed the Division Two Grand Final in a close 2-1 victory over upper Great Southern's second side.

Avon dropped points once in the competition's entirety through a 1-0 loss over Lower Great Southern, but finished with a goal difference of 10 and staked their claim as the top side early in the piece.

In Division Three, Peel's only side in the competition claimed the title in a tightly contested group, defeating Busselton 1-0.

The group consisted of eight sides, with many looking to challenge towards the end of the competition, with Peel eventually running out as victors.

Bunbury went home with two title wins in this year's competition, securing the Masters Division title in a 2-0 win over Eastern Districts.
