CEO Update - September
Published Thu 02 Sep 2021
It’s been another big month in hockey around Western Australia – on and off the field – with plenty to look forward to across the rest of September and beyond.
Of course, the biggest focus for the team at the moment is the finals series, with the Hockey WA Grand Final Day, held at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University on Saturday 18 September, one for your diaries. With the culmination of our top men’s and women’s competitions, including the All Flags Premier League, it’s bound to be a wonderful day. Tickets at $5 for adults, with kids under 18 free. With a range of new additions this year including a big screen and sports presentation, we’re sure you’ll find it a jam-packed day of hockey-filled entertainment!
Our Wheatbelt area’s children have recently benefitted from CSBP Roadshows, featuring clinics and carnivals – congratulations to all who got involved. On behalf of Hockey WA, thanks to CSBP for the support – it truly was a memorable series of events, with the Narrogin Carnival, featuring an appearance from Hockeyroo and Perth Thunderstick representative Penny Squibb, a particular feature.
Hockey WA’s Annual Awards evening is just a couple of weeks away, at the Pan Pacific Hotel on Wednesday 15 September. Please contact your club to secure your seat – we look forward to a memorable evening; a true celebration of a wonderful season.
Until next month… see you at the hockey, and best of luck to all teams participating in finals across the state!
Kind regards,
Fabian
