Elite hockey returns to regional WA with the CSBP Hockey Festivals

Hockey WA and CSBP Fertilisers continue their partnership to bring hockey festivals to key regional areas in Western Australia for the third year.

CSBP's support will bring high-profile players and coaches to clinics and carnivals in regional hubs, including Narrogin, Northam, Bruce Rock and Albany. The CSBP Festivals aim to encourage participation and provide exposure to the sport through coaching by elite coaches and Perth Thundersticks stars.

CSBP Fertilisers General Manager Mark Scatena is thrilled about another successful year of festivals, with primary school children benefiting from high-level hockey action.

“At a young age, it is important to demonstrate the value of teamwork and physical and mental well-being. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these festivals will have on the children, their families, and the community," Scatena said.

“Our continued partnership with Hockey WA will help promote the development of the next generation of hockey players in regional WA, and we are honoured to be a part of that journey," Mr Scatena said.

“We are incredibly excited to be taking high-level hockey coaching and clinics, featuring the stars from WA’s best – the Perth Thundersticks – to the regions in 2023,” Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said. 

“Thanks to support from CSBP Fertilisers, we can provide excellent opportunities to expose students in regional Western Australia to our great sport and support them through coaching from some of the state’s best.”

Northam - 30 May: Northam Hockey Turf, Bert Hawke Reserve, Clarke Street, Northam

Bruce Rock - 31 May: Bruce Rock Hockey Turf, Dunstall Street, Bruce Rock

Narrogin - 1 June: Narrogin Hockey Turf, Clayton Road, Narrogin

Albany - TBC
