Published Thu 29 Oct 2020
The exciting conclusion of Hockey WA’s Ric Charlesworth Classic this weekend features the Hockey for Health Family Zone with activities and entertainment for the whole family, in addition to some free children’s healthy-choice food and discounted beverage options, thanks to support from Healthway!
The Ric Charlesworth Classic Finals Day, played on Sunday 1 November at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, provides family-friendly fun in the new alcohol-free Hockey for Health Family Zone. On Sunday, there’ll be activities for the kids with a range of prizes and the chance to win one of two $150 Just Hockey vouchers! Kids activities will run at half-time of the first three matches on Sunday – at approximately 1:30pm, 3pm and 4:30pm respectively.
The Hockey for Health Family Zone is on the southern hill at Perth Hockey Stadium and provides great viewing options for spectators, with floor cushions and picnic rugs providing a comfortable and cosy spectator experience across both Saturday and Sunday.
Also included in Hockey WA’s family-friendly offerings are complimentary healthy food options for children plus two-for-one bottled water. Kids under 18 can claim their free healthy-choice snack packs, containing hummus, carrot and celery sticks and a fruit salad, on Saturday and Sunday from the Perth Hockey Stadium kiosk. (Please note limits may apply.)
The Ric Charlesworth Classic, pitting some of Australia’s best players against each other in an exciting new format, culminates in quadruple headers across both Saturday and Sunday. Round 3 matches start on Saturday at 2:30pm, with the Finals matches – and the battle for medals – commencing on Sunday from 1pm!
Make sure to come down and bring the whole family to Perth Hockey Stadium this Sunday, 1st November from 1:00pm, for an action-packed hockey festival to feast on!
