The 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day, presented by Brightside Live, on Saturday 17 September at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, is almost here!

Twelve teams will battle it out for six premierships across a huge day of hockey action, with the Premier League Men’s and Women’s Grand Finals headlining a jam-packed fixture, with Premier Division Two and Three Grand Finals to curtain-raise the main games.

Here is everything you need to know:

Where is Hockey WA’s Grand Final Day, presented by Brightside Live?

The 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day, presented by Brightside Live, is staged at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University this Saturday – 17 September.

 

What is the cost of entry? How do I enter? Can I get a pass out?

It’s just $5 for adults, with kids under 18 free.  Cash and card are accepted at the gate.

Club representatives have been issued with passes – individuals who have not been issued passes are required to pay the relevant gate fee. All passes must be presented at the gate.

Entrance is via the main gate on the western side of the stadium, between PHS-1 and PHS-2.

Pass outs will be available for those wishing to exit and re-enter the stadium, however please consult security before leaving to obtain the relevant requirements.

Is there reserved seating?

There is no reserved seating – all seating is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

What restrictions are there in the stadium in regards to what I can bring?

There are some understandable restrictions around what can and can’t be brought in to Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University.

  • No dogs
  • No smoking
  • No BYO alcohol

Bag checking will be in operation.

Car parking – is there any available?

Parking is plentiful around the stadium, however is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking is run by Curtin University and is free on weekends. Park in allocated bays only – Curtin University will issue penalty notices for vehicles parked illegally such as on kerbs or across entrances and access points. The small Hockey WA staff car park is strictly for Hockey WA staff only and will be in constant use.

What times do gates open?

Gates open at 11:30 – free entry to the stadium is granted before then.

What games are being played?

Premier Division 1 Women 16:00 – PHS-1

Premier Division 1 Men 17:45 – PHS-1

Premier Division 2 Women 12:00 – PHS-1

Premier Division 2 Men 13:45 – PHS-1

Premier Division 3 Women 13:30 – PHS-2

Premier Division 3 Men 15:15 – PHS-2

What are the off-field attractions?

There is going to be plenty of excitement for fans, supporters and spectators – both on and off the field. In addition to new-level sports presentation and engagement, featuring big screen entertainment and crowd engagement, there are lots of fun, engagement and entertainment opportunities around the stadium. A key one of those is the Fuel to Go & Play® Activation Fun Zone, which will provide all and sundry some light-hearted, engaging and informative opportunities. What food and beverage options are available?

There are myriad food-and-beverage options available for spectators at 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day. In addition to the regular favourites available through the PHS canteen, there are a range of outlets available across the venue – providing convenient access to a range of options for spectators no matter their location. Muesli and yoghurt cups, fruit salad, sandwiches, and fresh fruit will all feature on an evolving menu at the PHS canteen. Additionally, carrot sticks and celery with hummus will be provided free to children under 15!
