Fuel To Go & Play J9/10 Club Champs reaches thrilling finale

The Fuel To Go & Play J9/10 Girls Club Championships has reached a thrilling conclusion at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University, with the three day tournament providing a feast of hockey for the up and coming hockey stars throughout Western Australia.

A stacked, ten-team Division A saw YMCC run away with the championship win in a closely fought final contest against Rockingham.

YMCC finished the Division on equal first-place with Rockingham heading into the finals series and looked to be the favourites with no goals scored against the side throughout the duration of the tournament.

A 2-0 win against Rockingham saw the side finish the tournament run with a clean sheet.

In the B division, it was Geraldton who claimed the title after a thrilling finish in the Grand Final against Fremantle Cockburn, defeating the side 1-0.

Fremantle Cockburn came from third place, to overcome second-placed Central Midlands in a 1-0 results to reach the big dance, but ultimately just fell short against Geraldton in the final match.
