Fuel to Go & Play Junior Indoor Club Championships Under 13 Mixed & Under-18 Wrap

Before the 2024 Indoor season officially kicks off, junior clubs across WA showcased their skills in the Fuel to Go & Play Junior Indoor Club Championships.

Teams converged on Mundaring Arena as the Under-13 Mixed and Under-18 Boys competitions took place from Monday 30 September to Wednesday 2 October.

In the Under-13 Mixed competition, teams first competed in pool matches on day one of competition before being split into two divisions for the remainder of the tournament.

Division 1 came to a thrilling conclusion with the final between Reds Hockey Club 2 and Whitford Hockey Club coming down to a shootout.

In an intense match with plenty of passion, Whitford pipped Reds at the post, winning 3-2.

In Division 2, WASPS pulled off a convincing win over Melville 4-1, capping off a dominant tournament run without dropping a single game.

In the Under-18 competition, teams competed in a round-robin tournament, playing each team once.

WASPS dominated the competition to claim the Under-18 title, defeating Victoria Park 2 3-2 to cap off a perfect tournament run.

The Fuel to Go & Play Junior Indoor Club Championships continues on Thursday 3 October with the Under-15 competition.
