High-class hockey events to hit Geraldton

Published Mon 04 Oct 2021

Hockey WA will make the trip to Geraldton this week for Coach n Play and Tokyo Olympic presentations on 7/8 October 2021.

After a successful regional presentation at the Narrogin Carnival in mid-July, this is the second regional visit to showcase the new Hockey WA Coach n Play resources prepared by FIH Master Coach and former Kookaburra, Netherlands and Indian Coach Terry Walsh.

All Geraldton players, parents and coaches are welcome to attend the presentation from 6.15pm to 7.30pm on Thursday 7 October 2021 at the Geraldton Hockey Association Clubrooms.

An Olympic Highlights and Q&A Breakfast will be held at Skeetas Restaurant, providing a valuable opportunity to get behind the minds of Olympic athletes and what it takes to reach the top (open to coaches and players from all sports).

In conjunction with the presentations Hockey WA High Performance Coach Des King will conduct a Talent ID and Development program for the best young junior talent aged from 14 to 18 years in the Mid-West.

Hockey WA are conducting these presentations and other programs in conjunction with the Geraldton Hockey Association and the Midwest Academy of Sport.
