Hockey WA COVID-19 Update
Published Fri 05 Feb 2021
2021 COVID-19 OUT OF LOCKDOWN SAFETY PLAN - UNDER 15s TRIALS
The Hockey WA office and Perth Hockey Stadium will reopen from 6pm Friday, 5 February, per the WA Government’s easing of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
Perth and Peel, however, will enter into a post-lockdown transition period until 12.01am, Sunday 14 February. This allows the full 14-day incubation period to run its course.
As part of the post-lockdown transition period for Perth and Peel, Hockey WA requests all stakeholders follow the public health requirements, including in the Hockey WA office and at Perth Hockey Stadium, including the following measures:
- Wearing a mask when in public, unless exempt or while participating in vigorous outdoor exercise (such as during hockey training and matches held outdoors)
- Wearing a mask both before and after training/matches, or if spectating training/matches.
- Wearing a mask if indoors i.e. in the office, training within a gym, in the changerooms or in a function room
- Limiting the number of people indoors at any one time – the 1 person per 4sqm rule applies with a maximum of 150 people allowed at the venue/facility
- Following all other hygiene requirements including washing hands and using alcohol-based hand sanitiser
- Maintaining social distancing of 1.5m at all times
- Downloading and using the SafeWA App
- If you are unwell or have any symptoms, stay home and get tested.
- A G2G PASS is required to enter or leave the Perth/Peel region. This is only granted for essential travel, therefore players outside of these areas cannot travel into the Perth/Peel area for training and vice versa during this period
Hockey WA strongly advises all clubs, associations, players and other stakeholders to diligently follow Government requirements, particularly those clubs and associations that had planned pre-season activities during this period, those with Clubhouses and/or training/playing facilities.
Hockey WA thanks its players, supporters, staff and partners for their understanding in this fast-evolving environment.
