Hockey WA partner with The Kauphy Place
Published Tue 04 Apr 2023
Hockey WA is proud to announce a two-year partnership with Willetton-based Indian restaurant, The Kauphy Place.
The Kauphy Place is a local favourite amongst the community, offering traditional and home style dishes from various South Indian regions, with healthy offerings available for both WA hockey athletes and members alike.
Through the partnership, The Kauphy Place will become the ‘home’ of Hockey WA team dinners across various under-age and open-age teams.
“We are super pleased to be able to partner with the Kauphy Place for the next two years,” Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said.
“The partnership will be of great benefit to a range of teams across all age groups, and it is exciting to have a community-based restaurant backing our hockey community.”
The Kauphy Place’s Prashanth KR Mereddy:
“We are really pleased to be able to partner with Hockey WA and provide support to the sport and our community,” Mr. Mereddy said.
“We feel it is important to give back to those who support us so strongly, and the WA hockey community has been of great support, with the partnership only going to strengthen this.
“We are also thrilled to showcase Indian cuisine as a healthy alternative and we have a range of offerings that will please everyone, and in particular, our emerging WA hockey athletes attending various team dinners.”
Hockey WA Head of Asian Engagement, Chris Ciriello, is pleased to welcome the Indian restaurant to the Hockey WA fold.
“It is fantastic to have such a strong relationship with The Kauphy Place, who place a great emphasis on giving back to the community through supporting various community sports,” Ciriello said.
“The partnership also allows our athletes to experience a vast range of Indian and Asian cuisines – hockey has such a large presence in India, and it is fantastic to tie this culture into our programs through various initiatives.”
The Kauphy Place is open seven days a week and welcomes the WA hockey fraternity with open arms.
