Hockey WA & Perth Thundersticks thanks Phil Hulbert

Hockey WA and the Perth Thundersticks extend their heartfelt thanks to Phil Hulbert for his outstanding dedication and leadership of the Perth Thundersticks Women’s program over the past three seasons of Hockey One.

After guiding Western Australia’s top women’s hockey team through a remarkable undefeated campaign in 2024—culminating in their first-ever Liberty Hockey One Women’s Premiership title—Phil has made the decision to step down from his role as Head Coach.

Since taking the reins in 2022, Phil’s impact has been profound. Under his guidance, the team secured back-to-back bronze medals in 2022 and 2023, before reaching the ultimate success in 2024.

Phil’s coaching journey is far from over. In 2025, he continues to contribute to the growth of the sport, leading both the Men’s and Women’s Stiles Electrical Premier League teams at Victoria Park Xavier Hockey Club.
