Hockey WA Under 15 Trials Update
Published Thu 02 Feb 2023
Please see the updated information below regarding this weekend's Under 15's State Team Trials at Perth Hockey Stadium.
Time Change
After consultation with a number of stakeholders, Hockey WA has decided to bring Sunday’s trial forward by one hour due to the predicted extreme heat. The trial will now be 7am-11am. Saturday’s trial cannot be altered and will remain as originally scheduled. There will be measures in place to combat the heat.
Updated times are as below.
Session Breakdown
Due to the vast number of nominations across both genders, totalling in excess of 230, we have split each gender into two groups. A goalkeeper specific timeslot has also been incorporated, which will take place in between each trial session on both Saturday and Sunday.
Below is a breakdown of how the trials will operate:
Saturday
3:00pm – 4:30pm – Group 1
4:30pm – 5:30pm – All goalkeepers only
5:30pm – 7:00pm – Group 2
Sunday
7:00am – 8:30am – Group 1
8:30am – 9:30am – All goalkeepers only
9:30am – 11:00am – Group 2
Athletes are required to attend the trials on both Saturday and Sunday. It is recommended that all athletes arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time of their respective trials to sign in and receive their allocated bib.
Athlete Groupings
See below the athlete groupings for each of the sessions:
Please make sure you check these documents prior to attending the trials to ensure you arrive for your correct timeslot.
Goalkeepers
Goalkeepers are required to attend both the on-field trials for their particular group, as well as the goalkeeper specific session.
I.e. if you are a goalkeeper in Group 2, you are required to attend the goalkeeper session as well as the Group 2 session following it.
