The selection process was particularly challenging due to the record number of nominations which is a reflection of the healthy state of junior development in WA. All athletes competing in the trials demonstrated great attitude,  application and desire. Outcomes on nominations for the 2021 Perth Thundersticks Academy will be notified direct by email in the next two weeks.

Final WA Gold and Black teams from the travelling 32 will be announced next week. Train-on players are invited to attend all preparation sessions. Training will be as follows beginning this week:

4-5:30pm Saturday 27 February & 7-9:00am at Perth Hockey Stadium. Please arrive 30 minutes before start. If unable to attend, please contact the coach or ian.healey@hockeywa.org.au

All travelling athletes are required to attend The Republic of Hockey (formerly Just Hockey) in Burswood between Midday and 5pm on Thursday or Friday of this week to purchase or order their uniforms. If you are unable to do this, please email Grant Mitton at grant@cultor.com.au to make alternate arrangements.
