HOW TO WATCH EVERY HOCKEYROOS AND KOOKABURRAS MATCH
Day 12
Heartbreak for Kookaburras in penalty shootout loss.
The Kookaburras will come home with a silver medal after a devastating loss to Belgium in the gold medal match.
At quarter time scores were at a stalemate, with neither side able to find the back of the net before the break.
Very few shots were made on goals in the first, Tom Wickham taking the Kookaburras lone shot, and Andrew Charter having to make two saves.

The deadlock lasted until half time, possession remaining even between the Kookaburras and the Belgian side.
Belgium scored first through a nifty touch by Florent van Aubel at the 32-minute-mark, putting themselves at a 1-0 advantage.

The scoreline didn’t change again at the final break, Belgium holding its 1-0 lead after 45 minutes of play.

The match went into one-on-ones when scores were equal 1-1 at full time, however an outstanding performance from Andrew Charter not enough in the end.
A heartbreaking ordeal for the Kookaburras saw an inch of hope with a referral almost giving them a second chance in shootouts, however the Belgian side won shootouts 3-2.

IT'S KOOKABURRAS' GOLD MEDAL MATCH DAY!!!
Today's the day!!!
Just hours until our Aussie sides take on Belgium for a GOLD MEDAL, looking to win the first gold medal since Athens in 2004.

Day 11
Kookaburras dream match leads to first Olympic gold medal match in 17 years!!
The Kookaburras have celebrated Aran Zalewski’s 200th game in the green and gold with style, a dream Semi-Final win over Germany.
Margaret-River based Zalewski made his debut in 2011 against India and is representing Australia at his second games.
The game started early with tournament star Tim Brand touching in a goal crossed by Flynn
Ogilvie at the seven-minute-mark.

Germany responded shortly after, Lukas Windfeder netting an equaliser after 10 minutes of play
And just like that, Germany equalise from the first penalty corner of the game!

Blake Govers showed his trademark trick, scoring from a penalty corner to bring the Kookaburras back into the lead, 2-1 at half time.

Germany took a large risk and took their goalkeeper off with four minutes remaining in the match to gain an extra field player
GOALLLL!!! With just over a minute left, Lachi Sharp was able to capitalise on the open goal, scoring to seal the deal for the Kookaburras and sending themselves through to the gold medal match against Belgium.

Day 10
Hockeyroos Heartbreak as India claims 1-0 victory in Quarter Final.
The Hockeyroos have suffered a stunning defeat to India in the Quarter Finals at Tokyo 2020 - a valiant effort by the side, but unable to capitalise on their scoring opportunities.
WA's Karri Somerville was a rock in defence and applied a magnificent tackle to give the Hockeyroos an option in the dying minutes but ultimately the side just fell short in their final match of the tournament.
We're sure the entire country is proud of the girls' efforts!
