Hot hit outs this weekend, as teams fight for remaining Grand Final spots
Published Fri 10 Sep 2021
A spot in the 2021 All Flags Premier League grand final is up for grabs, when both the men’s and women’s competitions take to Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University on Sunday.
University of WA's men will look to repeat last weekend’s success, another win over Reds all the side needs to face Melville in the GF.
Reds were able to get the upper hand over Wolves in the first Semi Final on Wednesday evening with a nail-biting 3-2 win and will look to redeem themselves after a closely-fought Qualification final loss to UWA last Saturday.
The side will look to go for its third premiership in four years, after winning last year’s title, as well as in 2018, all led by coach Ian Smyth.
In the women’s All Flags Premier League, a win for Victoria Park means they'll sit this weekend out, while Westside Wolves and University of WA clash to decide who will meet them in the September 18 spectacle.
Wolves went down to Victoria Park last weekend in the second Semi Final, while a last-five-minutes win from UWA over Hale last week saw the side through to this weekend's action.
