Indoor Hockey Weekly Results
Published Mon 07 Dec 2020
Another week of Hockey WA's indoor Hockey competitions has concluded, with all eyes now looking towards next week's Grand Finals.
It was another energetic round from the Under-13s players, who have been competing in a round robin format this year, with Melville taking on WASPS Green, who had the claims of being the strongest team in the competition.
WASPS Green stamped their authority once again, with a 13-0 win over Melville seeing them flying towards the Grand Finals, with each player hitting the scoreboard in the massive win.
Melville then looked to put up a fight against WASPS Yellow, putting up a valiant effort, but ultimately falling short with a 6-0 loss.
With both WASPS teams coming off strong wins, the WASPS Green against WASPS Yellow presented a mouth-watering proposition, with both teams looking to continue their red hot form.
In the end, WASPS Green proved too strong, with a 6-0 masterclass leading them to victory, albeit against some cracking saves from the Yellow team under immense pressure.
In the Seniors competition, the tightly contested Division One men's competition saw UWA with a depleted side proving their strength, with a 11-2 win over Victoria Park.
Fremantle Cockburn continued to show their dominance, with the Fremantle men dominating Vic Park once-more, with a stunning 14-1 win leading them to victory in commanding fashion.
After a barrage of goals and complete dominance in games previous, the Melville vs OGMHC match looked to provide some return to normality, with a 6-4 win to Melville in a tight contest proving to be a handy result for the side, as they were able to cement their position on the top of the ladder and a spot in the Grand Final.
