Kookaburras’ golden opportunity broadcast live at PHS
Published Wed 04 Aug 2021
Sports fans across Western Australia have the opportunity to celebrate the Australian men’s hockey team’s success at the Tokyo Olympics – and watch their gold-medal match against Belgium – at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University tomorrow, Thursday 5 August, from 5pm.
Multiple big screens have been brought into the Eastman Lounge at Perth Hockey Stadium for fans to watch the Kookaburras’ quest for gold, which commences at 6pm, with entry open to all.
Entry is free, with food and beverage options also available. Attendees are encouraged to show their true colours and wear green and gold to support the Kookaburras’ quest.
“We look forward to seeing lots of green and gold at Perth Hockey Stadium this Thursday for the Kookaburras’ gold-medal match – and hopefully witnessing history,” Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said.
“The Australian High Performance Program has an incredibly strong link with Western Australia, with the program based out of Perth, and we’re both ecstatic with their performances so far and very excited for their gold-medal match.
“We can’t wait to see everyone at Perth Hockey Stadium for an incredibly memorable evening.”
