Hale suffered their first loss of points for this season and shared the spoils with North Coast Raiders in a 1-1 draw to open the round on Friday night.

Hale started this season with six wins on the trot and looked to continue their strong form with Brooke Corbett opening the scoring in the 30th minute.

North Coast Raiders had the answers, with their skipper Annie Gibbs scoring soon after in the 34th minute with the match finishing at a 1-1 draw and both sides sharing the points.

The men’s and women’s Westside Wolves and Curtin University sides competed in a double-header at Lemnos Field, with Wolves taking home two 6-0 wins in a strong showing for the club.

In the women’s match, young gun Jess Freedman starred with a hat-trick, while Madi Ratcliffe scored two of her own in a strong attacking performance.

Tom Keating scored two in the men’s match, with Oscar Charlesworth, Alistair Murray, Fletcher Netherway and Tom Harvie also scoring in the win.

Whitford secured their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with WASPs in the women’s competition.

Whitford’s Anna Barbra scored in the 21st minute, but a reply from WASPs stalwart Melissa Luff in the 43rd minute resulted in the sides finishing on level terms.

In the men’s match, WASPs claimed a commanding 5-2 win – their fourth of the season to see them sitting fifth on the ladder.

Whitford’s Fraser Heigh has continued his strong scoring run, scoring both of Whitford’s goals for the match to take his tally to 15 for the season, while WASPs shared the load with Chaz Davies, Mitchell McGrath, Charlie McIntyre, Trent Mitton and Fletcher Wetherell all scoring.

Victoria Park Xavier secured their fourth win of the season in the women’s competition, defeating Reds 3-0 at Aquinas Turf.

The men’s Reds and Victoria Park clash went in the favour of Reds, who claimed a 4-1 win – their third in a row in a string of hot form.

Brodee Foster was unstoppable in the clash, scoring four to lead his side to victory – two from field goals and two from penalty corners.

Melville’s 3-1 win over YMCC has led to the side’s return to the top of the men’s ladder.

The 2022 and 2021 premiers sit on a streak of five wins in a row and look to be the team to beat heading into the halfway mark of the season.

The men’s clash between Old Guildfordians Mundaring and UWA had nine goals scored for the match, with UWA claiming their seventh win of the season in a 6-3 scoreline.

UWA’s Harry Golding scored two for the match, while former Kookaburra Chris Ciriello starred for OGMHC, scoring three consecutive goals from penalty corners to bring the sides level during the match.

Fremantle Cockburn narrowly missed out on an upset win over Hale, with Hale’s Liam Flynn scoring in the final minute of the match to see the sides finish in a 2-2 draw.

After zero goals in the first half, Fremantle Cockburn’s Gill Gobindraj scored in the 40th minute, but Hale’s Corey Weyer replied in the 48th minute.

A goal for Kookaburra Jack Welch in the 49th minute looked to be the match winner for Fremantle Cockburn, but the league’s leading goal scorer in Flynn secured a point for Hale late in the piece in their first draw of the season.

Suburban Lions remain the only team to have won all of their matches thus far this season, securing a 3-1 win over UWA in the women’s competition, with Lions' Meg McCaffrey starring with two goals.
