Day two of the OMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup is in the books and a mixture of Western Australian and international teams lead the charge at the top of their pools heading into day three.

The Waves and Japan sit at the top of Pool A and Pool B respectively in the women's competition after dominant starts to their competition runs.

 After finishing day one with a 2-1 loss to Ciriello Coaching Academy, the Waves kicked into gear on day two, securing an 11-0 win over Singapore and a 14-0 drubbing over JM Auroras.

The goal scoring prowess of the side has been highlighted by Shané Barnard leading the goal scoring tally with eight goals after four matches, with her team mates Saskia Lehmann (6) and Ruby Bell (5) in second and third place.

Mutiara Penang sit in second behind Waves in Pool A with three wins also to their name, while the Highlanders (third) and Ciriello Coaching Academy (fourth) round out the top four.

In Pool B of the girls competition, it's Japan who sits at the top after an unbeaten start to their competition, claiming four wins from their four matches, without conceeding.

The stars sit behind them in second, also securing four wins to kick-start their competition run. The two powerhouse sides meet in a blockbuster fixture on Saturday 25 November from 6.00pm.

The storm on three wins, and Melaka Sporting School on two wins rounds out the top four with the sides hot on the heels of Japan and the Stars.

In the boys competition, the Storm (Pool 1) and Malaysian Sports School (Pool 2) prove to be the domnant forces thus far.

The Storm and Malaysian Sports School have both started their respective competition runs with four wins on the trot - both sides doing so without conceeding a goal.

Malaysian Sports School finished off day two with an eye-opening scoreline, defeating the Highlanders 12-0 in a five-star attacking effort.

In Pool 1, Bobby's Coaching Australia, Suns and JM Hornets round out the top four, while in a hotly contested Pool 2, Ciriello Coaching Academy, Stars and JM Hawks continue to chase Malaysian Sports School.

Ciriello Coaching Academy's Oliver Elliott sits alone at the top of the boys goal scoring tally with six goals to his name, with Saiful Badruddin (MSS), Edward Hall (BCA), Sebastian Metcalf (Storm), Luke NIllsen (Suns) and Safwan Salihe (MSS) all following on four goals each.
