Packed house celebrates an epic 2022 Grand Final
Published Sun 18 Sep 2022
A huge thanks to the Perth hockey community for supporting our Grand Finalists over an epic 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day, presented by Brightside Live. Throughout the course of the day approximately 4000 patrons including players and spectators witnessed some great hockey at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University.
The 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day attracted a huge and enthralled crowd, which ultimately saw Hale and Melville triumph in the women’s and men’s Premier 1 deciders respectively.
“Thank you to everyone who attended the 2022 Hockey WA Grand Final Day, presented by Brightside Live – what an occasion it was,” Hockey WA CEO Fabian Ross said.
“The atmosphere from the start of the day was electric – special shout out to the thousands of sports fans and spectators who attended the event, which has got to be one of the best in recent memory.
“The game-day atmosphere, featuring Brightside Live activation, roaming cameras, big-screen entertainment and live stream/broadcast integration through our production partners at Local Media Service Company, really enthralled the crowd.
“Congratulations to all of our grand final winners and to everyone who attended and watched what was a very special and fitting way to celebrate the 2022 Premier League hockey season.
“Our attention now turns to the Hockey One League campaign and we ask all Western Australian hockey fans to get behind our Perth Thundersticks, who commence their competitions on Saturday 1 October at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University. We want to see another epic event and need your support to make this a reality.”
The Perth Thundersticks need your support this Sultana Bran Hockey One League season, with our first double header to be played at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University on Saturday 1 October. Show your support by purchasing a membership, securing your tickets or through our Perth Thundersticks Player Partnership Program. We want all of WA behind our elite-level men's and women's teams!
