Perth Hockey Stadium COVID-19 Update
Published Thu 03 Dec 2020
From 5 December 2020, Perth Hockey Stadium must maintain contact registers for WA Health Department COVID-19 contact tracing.
If COVID-19 is detected in the WA community, contact registers help protect us all by enabling the WA Health Contact Team to quickly identify and assist anyone that may have been exposed to COVID-19.
To help, the WA Government has developed a free app, SafeWA, which will provide businesses with a digital contact register system.
SafeWA is an efficient and safe way to record patron and visitor contact details where they can check-in, using the app.
- Hockey WA is fully committed to being part of the State Government SafeWA contact register.
- We would like all of our patrons to download the App, we will have QR codes at every entry point of Perth Hockey Stadium. Where necessary there are numerous QR codes available for people to scan, this will prevent and unnecessary waiting time.
- Entry to the bar café and office areas is mandatory for people to sign in, using either the App or a hard copy register (which will be available at all entry points).
- Hockey WA staff will be diligent in the maintenance of a contact record for every person entering the bar and café areas within Perth Hockey Stadium.
- Perth Hockey Stadium will restrict access to the venue, patrons are asked to use the nominated entry doors.
- Staff and athletes who attend the venue on a daily basis will be required to either scan in or sign the manual register.
- The Safe WA app is free and will provide the simplest and most effective way to register attendance at the venue.
Download the SafeWA app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store now.
Does your club require a contact register? Find out HERE.
Designated businesses and venues will be required to collect the date, name, telephone number and arrival time of all patrons, staff, visitors and contractors that attend the premises, other than to collect takeaway.
The contact register records must be kept for 28 days, and not used for any other purpose.
