Perth Thundersticks celebrates regional WA with Country Round

To celebrate our strong regional base, Hockey WA and the Perth Thundersticks are inviting one and all to come on down to Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University to celebrate Country Round this weekend.

Perth Hockey Stadium will be transformed into a country haven on Sunday 29 October as the Thundersticks run out for their JDH Hockey One round four matches against Hockey Club Melbourne.

The elite hockey action, which will feature several of the best players to come out of regional WA, will kick off from 1.30pm with the women's match as they look to notch their third win in a row, followed by the men at 3.00pm as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 1-2 loss to Tassie Tigers.

Along with all the action on the field, there will be plenty to see and do off the field, with several free activities on offer.

Before the Perth Thundersticks double-header, junior players will have the chance to hone their skills in a free PTX Junior Clinic from 11am and get up close and personal with some of the Perth Thundersticks players.

The young and young at heart will also have the chance to cuddle farm animals between 1.30pm and 3.30pm - thanks to Old MacDonald Farms, go fishing for prizes in the duck pond, bob for apples thanks to Bravo Apples, as well as many more fun games and activities.
