Perth Thundersticks Academy to host skill development training sessions

Are you looking to develop your hockey skills even further? The Perth Thundersticks Academy has an exciting opportunity for you!
Throughout May and June, the Perth Thundersticks Academy will deliver new short and intense skill development training sessions, targeted for the development of athletes in the North region of the Metropolitan area.
The skill development training sessions are open to anyone aged between 10 and 16 years (Years 5 to 11 school year groups) wanting to develop their skills outside existing club development programs.
The training sessions will begin on Tuesday 28 May and run for four consecutive Tuesday mornings at Troy Pickard Hockey Centre.
Participating athletes will be coached by Specialist Coaches provided by Hockey WA, as well as local Premier League players.

Training Focus
- Stick and Ball – essential skill refinement
- Mini Games – in close decision making strategies
- Specialist skills (i.e. Goal Scoring, Penalty Corner Development, Shootouts)
- Match Preparation and Post-Match Recovery
- Positional Education and Expectations

Training Cost
$180.00 for 4 sessions (6 hours)
Note: This is not compulsory training. This program is designed to build better connections with your teammates and refine your skills prior to trials.
