Stars to power Hockey WA Indoor Classic

Teams for the Hockey WA Indoor Classic, proudly supported by the Shire of Northam, have been finalised following a draft – with star power, rising talent and seasoned veterans featuring across four men’s and four women’s teams.

The Hockey WA Indoor Classic, to take place at Northam Recreation Centre across the weekend of 8- 9 October and run thanks to Sport Australia’s Regional Sport Events Fund, will feature some of the game’s brightest talents, including national indoor representatives, and both nationally identified and Perth Thundersticks field players. Coaches leading their sides all have either national or international indoor hockey experience.

“Excitement is building around the Hockey WA Indoor Classic, proudly supported by the Shire of Northam, and we are delighted with the talent who’ll feature across a wonderful weekend of action,” Hockey WA General Manager – Performance and Development, Dean Evans, says.

“The draft process has created four equal teams for both men’s and women’s competitions.”

Players and officials will be accommodated in Northam at no cost, with participants encouraged to not only enjoy a wonderful weekend of hockey but some amazing local tourist attractions too.
