Sultana Bran Hockey One Season update I 30 September 2021
Published Thu 30 Sep 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the postponement of the Sultana Bran Hockey One League – but Hockey WA and the Perth Thundersticks are hopeful of being able to communicate a new season start date shortly.
The second instalment of the elite-level open-age men’s and women’s national competition was originally set to commence this weekend, starting 1 October, and run until mid-November.
The Thundersticks’ first match was due to be held at Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University on Saturday 2 October. Challenges around the country related to the pandemic and the border restrictions, of course, have impacted the competition and delayed its commencement.
Perth Thundersticks memberships remain valid for the upcoming season, with new competition dates to be communicated as soon as they become available.
Hockey WA and the Perth Thundersticks greatly appreciate Members’ loyalty and patience during this challenging period.
