Hockey WA would like to thank Perth Thundersticks Head Coach David Guest for his contribution to a stellar season for WA’s top men’s hockey side, with ‘Guesty’ set to stand down from his position in 2023 to take on an exciting new professional role outside the sport.

During his tenure, former Kookaburra Guest led the Perth Thundersticks men’s team to a Hockey One Grand Final berth in 2022, with the side claiming a hard-fought silver medal placement in Bendigo.

Guest was a catalyst in an amazing season for WA hockey, with his dare to implement a unique style of hockey a key driver in an exciting and successful season that has re-energised hockey fans in Western Australia.
