Thundersticks’ big challenge at PHS tonight
Published Wed 07 Jul 2021
The New Zealand Black Sticks men’s side take to Perth Hockey Stadium at Curtin University’s Field 2 this evening, playing a crucial pre-Olympics trial match against Western Australia’s very own men’s Perth Thundersticks squad.
The match provides the Black Sticks crucial playing time heading into Tokyo – and gives Thundersticks players once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to test their skills in match situations against Olympic-standard opposition heading into the 2021 Sultana Bran Hockey One League season.
Hockey fans are encouraged to come to PHS2 to watch the Olympic-standard opposition plus show their support to the Thundersticks as they continue their preparations ahead of their 2021 campaign.
Fans are, however, required to strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines.
Perth Thundersticks memberships are now on sale, with their 2021 season to commence on 2 October in the first of their three-game home fixtures. A storm is brewing!
