Thundersticks stars share tricks of the trade with next-gen hockey players
Published Thu 17 Nov 2022
The Perth Thundersticks had a bye week recently in round seven of the Hockey One season, but some players from the men’s team got their hockey fix through coaching the next generation of hockey stars in the state.
Children in the 2022 Perth Thundersticks Academy were treated to a high-level coaching session by Thundersticks’ Liam Flynn and Ross Hall, as well as former Kookaburra Chris Ciriello, who has spearheaded the Academy players’ development this year.
The session, which featured players from the 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s Academy age groups provided coaching of the highest order, as well as a Q&A session that allowed Flynn and Hall to discuss their progression from WA under-age level all the way to Thundersticks representation.
