Hockey WA is saddened to hear of the passing of one of Perth’s most respected corporate identities Mr Ian Cochrane.
Mr Cochrane, 67, was a huge supporter of the arts, Australian hockey and sport in general.
“Ian’s contribution to sport in WA and internationally was significant,” Hockey WA President Michael Henderson said.
“Hockey in Australia and the Hockeyroos, in particular, benefitted enormously from this support.
“Ian was an amazing man and great friend to many in our community. He will be terribly missed.”
Mr Cochrane’s engagements include acting as an advisor to Bankwest, positions at King & Wood Mallesons, director and Chair of Perenti (formerly known as Ausdrill), director and Chair of Dacian Gold, director of Ardross Group, chair of VOC Group, and Chair of Wright Propsecting.
Ian is survived by his wife Rosana, his daughters Kelly and Kate and three grandchildren.
Hockey WA’s thoughts are with Ian’s family at this time.
