WA Country Men to face Premier League teams in key preparational fixtures

The 2025 WA Country Men will face off against Stiles Electrical Premier League sides Hale and Westside Wolves on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March respectively, providing a rare opportunity for regional players to compete against some of WA’s top hockey sides.
As part of the matches, Hockey WA is inviting interested regional players who wish to compete in these matches for the WA Country Team to nominate through the following link.
2025 WA Country Mens Invitational Team v Hale Premier One Mens Squad
- When: Saturday 15 March 2025 - 3pm to 5pm
- Where: Hale Hockey Club
- Uniforms: to be confirmed
2025 WA Country Mens Invitational Team v Westside Wolves Premier One Mens Squad
- When: Sunday 16 March 2025 - 9.30am to 11.30am
- Where: Lemnos Field
- Uniforms: to be confirmed
These matches will not serve as a selection event for the WA Country Teams but will provide a unique opportunity for regional players to prepare ahead of the season. This year's Hockey Australia Country championships will be held in Rockhampton, Queensland from 9 to 16 August 2025.
As in previous years, the selection events will be the CBH Group Country Championships to be held at Perth Hockey Stadum at Curtin University from 13 to 15 June 2025 (Women) and 20 to 22 June 2025 (Men).
The 2025 WA Country men’s off field team wish to start the program early and this opportunity has presented itself for pre-season practice matches ahead of the Stiles Electrical Premier League.
