What is Goldstix?Hockey WA’s grassroots participation program – Goldstix, provides the opportunity to learn hockey in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Goldstix is available to run to any schools, clubs or associations - the Goldstix programs are completely adaptable to suit the requirements and preferences of the host school or club! Participants can choose to include a brand-new Gryphon Goldstix pack with a hockey stick, ball, bag and shin pads with their Goldstix registration |

Hockey WA is excited to present our Goldstix Program in 2023. Below is some further information for clubs and associations in 2023.
Program Information
Goldstix is Hockey WA’s his introductory program is aimed at children 10 years and under and includes skill-based games in a fun and safe environment. The program helps you learn the skills through exciting and inclusive games in a positive team environment.
Through the course of the program, you will develop new hockey skills and build fundamental motor skills.
Benefits of Goldstix
At Goldstix we welcome everyone in our inclusive environment. With modified equipment you get to learn the game in a safe space, with players able to develop at their own speeds! All activities are designed to allow you to develop at your own pace. All games and activities are based on maximum engagement to play
Program Duration
The program is extremely flexible and customisable to each club/association needs in terms of program length and equipment requirements.
The program can be delivered over 2-20 weeks, suiting the needs of the club/association.
Cost of Equipment Packs and Variability
As part of the flexibility of the program, equipment packs can be ordered for each participant, which comes with your choice of hockey stick length, (28”,30”,32”,34”,36”), bag, ball and shinpads from Gryphon (retail value of over $75).
Packs can be purchased in 2023 for $34.50. If a participant already has their own equipment, this is fine, you can still register for the program at a reduced cost.
Delivery of Equipment
We recommend that equipment is picked up from Republic of Hockey in Perth. Alternatively, packs can be delivered for an additional fee based on geographic location.
How to Register
Players will be able to register and pay online through their local hockey club’s website in an easy to follow process.
Insurance
Player Insurance is included in the cost of the program.
